About Me

I started practicing yoga about ten years ago and had no idea what I was getting into! When I began, I wasn’t very flexible, couldn’t stay focused during exercise and had incorrect expectations of what yoga is supposed to look like.

After trying my first class, I immediately fell in love with it. The ability to challenge myself, while working at my own pace, without expectations, was a breath of fresh air. I found yoga to be a continual practice of learning and growth, both physically and mentally. When an opportunity to teach arose I decided to take the leap.

My journey began with a 200-hour yoga teacher training, but it didn't stop there. I delved deeper into the subtleties of yin yoga, hatha yoga, pranayama (breath work), meditation and the profound relaxation of yoga nidra. Along the way, I've gained insights into trauma-informed yoga, prenatal yoga and oncology informed integrative practices. I make it my mission to understand the delicate balance of the mind, body, and spirit.

What truly sets my practice apart is my love for sound healing. I incorporate a wide variety of instruments based on goals for a session and specialize in various modalities with crystal bowls and tuning forks. It's here, amidst the vibrations of sound and the gentle flow of breath, that true transformation unfolds.

I’m excited to share unique yoga and integrative practices that I’ve cultivated over the years from a diverse array of formats.

Ohuru Yoga is fun, playful and grounding. See you soon!
